Poli- ticks

Us and Them. This = politics as usual, as in the title to an old Pink Floyd song. The problem comes when either side thinks they are Justified in their viewpoint due to some higher moral law, principle or bible verse that the Other Side just doesn't understand.

This is the country of freedom of religion, for one thing. We have a system of being able to elect our representatives. This doesn't necessarily mean the side we don't agree with is evil, no matter how High and Mighty we think our own morals and beliefs are.

In the end, what matters is how we take care of people: the lonely, the lost, the oppressed, the poor, the ones who make us uncomfortable....
